How Many Homes Has Mariesa Holm Sold? My Track Record vs. the Typical Agent (2026)

Here's a question almost nobody asks their real estate agent — and everybody should: how many homes have you actually sold? Most buyers and sellers hire an agent without ever seeing a number. So in the spirit of the transparency I promise my clients, I'm publishing mine, along with how they stack up against the typical agent nationally. No spin, sources included.

How many homes has Mariesa Holm sold?

As of September 2026, my Zillow profile shows 115 total sales, ranging from $365,000 to $1.5 million, with an average sale price around $743,000. I earned my real estate license in 2014, so that track record spans about twelve years of consistent, year-in-year-out production — not a couple of hot seasons. And before I ever went full-time as an agent in 2020 (got my license in 2014 and was an assistant to high-producing agents between 2014-2020), I was in the lending and transaction side of the business, where I supported more than 400 purchases and sales for top-producing agents. I've seen a lot of closings from both sides of the table.

How do my numbers compare to the typical agent?

According to NAR's 2026 Member Profile, the typical REALTOR® closed nine transaction sides in all of 2025. My Zillow profile shows nine sales in just the last 12 months — a full 'typical year' of production, in one of the slower markets our region has seen in a decade — and my 115 career sales average out to roughly nine+ homes a year, every year, since 2014. For context, NAR reports the typical member now has 13 years of experience, and there are about 1.4 million REALTORS® nationwide. On volume: NAR's report puts the median sales volume at $2.7 million for 2025. Back-of-the-envelope using my Zillow numbers — nine sales at an average price around $743,000 — my past year works out to nearly $7 million. I share that not to brag, but because these are exactly the numbers I'd want to see before hiring someone for the biggest transaction of my life.

What do most real estate agents actually sell in a year?

Far fewer than most people guess. A 2024 Consumer Federation of America study that examined 2,000 randomly selected agents across four metro areas found that 49% had sold one home or none at all in the prior year, and 70% had sold five or fewer. There's no official public scoreboard for every agent in Snohomish County unless you pull from NWMLS, but the national pattern is clear everywhere, including here: a relatively small share of agents handle most of the business. That's why I encourage everyone — whether you interview me or not — to ask any agent directly:

  • How many homes did you close in the last 12 months, and over your career?

  • Which cities and price ranges do you actually work in?

  • Can I see your reviews, and can you share references from recent clients?

Why does an agent's sales count matter?

Repetitions. Every closing teaches you something — how to price accurately in a shifting market, how to negotiate an inspection response, what to do when an appraisal comes in low or a lender hits a delay at the finish line. An agent who closes regularly has seen the curveballs recently, not five years ago. My lending background adds another layer: having supported 400+ transactions from the financing side, I can often spot loan problems before they threaten a closing. That said, I'll be honest — a sales count isn't everything. Communication, local knowledge, and whether an agent truly listens to you matter enormously, and there are newer agents who do wonderful work. But you deserve to see the numbers and decide for yourself.

What kinds of homes do I sell, and where?

My sales run from condos in the upper $300s to homes over $1.5 million, across Snohomish County and North King County — Edmonds, Lynnwood, Bothell, Mill Creek, Everett, Snohomish, Lake Stevens, Marysville, Arlington, Monroe, and Mukilteo. First-time buyers and sellers are my specialty, and I work with everything from resale homes to new construction — including a brand-new build I closed for clients in Marysville this summer, right after selling their previous home in Lake Stevens. That mix matters: an agent who works your actual price range and towns will price, market, and negotiate better than one who doesn't.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many homes does the average real estate agent sell per year?

Per NAR's 2026 Member Profile, the typical REALTOR® closed nine transaction sides in 2025. And a 2024 Consumer Federation of America study of 2,000 agents in four metro areas found about half had sold one home or none in the prior year.

How long has Mariesa Holm been a real estate agent?

I've been a licensed agent since 2014, and I've worked in the real estate industry since 2011, when I started on the lending, and then went to transaction side supporting top-producing agents starting in 2014. I became a full-time agent on my own in 2020. Since 2020 I have sold anywhere between 9-19 homes each year. Prior to that (2014-2020) I would sell homes to friends and family while I was assisting high-producing agents.

Does a higher sales count guarantee a better agent?

No — no single number does. But consistent production means recent, relevant experience with pricing, negotiation, and problem-solving. Interview more than one agent, ask for their numbers, and choose the person who combines a real track record with communication you trust.

Where can I verify an agent's sales history?

Start with their Zillow profile, which tracks reported sales — mine is at zillow.com/profile/mariesaholm. You can also ask any agent for their MLS production and for references from recent clients. A good agent won't hesitate to share.
